APAC Industrials Equities Analyst, Global Multi Strategy HF
Location - Singapore
A leading global multi-strategy hedge fund is seeking an Associate-level Industrials Analyst to join its investment team in Singapore. The role will support the Asia regional Industrials strategy, working directly with a senior Portfolio Manager on deep fundamental coverage of sectors such as Autos, Machinery, and broader Industrials across the region.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the investment process, from idea generation to execution. The role focuses on conducting deep-dive research, developing differentiated insights, and supporting portfolio construction within a concentrated, fundamentally driven investment framework. The position offers structured mentorship, exposure to high-conviction investing, and strong upward mobility for candidates eager to grow into a risk-taking role.
Key Responsibilities
•Conduct deep fundamental research and valuation analysis on industrials companies across Asia
•Build and maintain financial models, investment theses, and industry frameworks
•Monitor earnings, industry trends, and company-specific developments across coverage
•Support the Portfolio Manager in identifying actionable investment ideas and refining portfolio positioning
•Engage in expert calls, management meetings, and independent channel checks to build local insights
•Contribute to coverage expansion into whitespace opportunities across broader Industrials
Ideal Candidate Profile
•3–5 years of experience in equity research or public markets investing (sell-side or buy-side)
•Strong domain knowledge or interest in industrials
- past coverage areas could include: regional industrials including Mining, Automotive, Energy, Commodities, Defense, and Factory Automation
•Solid technical foundation in financial modeling, accounting, and business analysis
•Demonstrated passion for investing and a long-term ambition to take on risk
•High energy, strong work ethic, and a self-starter mentality
•Coachable, intellectually flexible, and eager to learn from a senior PM
•Fluent English required; proficiency in a second Asian language (e.g. Japanese, Korean, Chinese) is preferred
